Infectious Disease Control

'Tis the season for cold and flu! Here are some things that patients and caregivers can do to minimize the risk of infection.
  • Practice good hygiene. Wash hands frequently.
  • Remember to moisturize your skin to prevent peeling and cracking.
  • Keep a clean home. Remember to clean your keyboard and cellphone!
  • Eat a well balanced diet and stay hydrated.
  • Get enough rest.
  • Stay away from people who are sick. Avoid crowds, if possible.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze. Pehaps wear a mask.
  • Get a flu shot.
  • Practice food safety.
  • Follow other recommendations that your doctor may have.
